When I arrived I observed traps and blankets thrown over the <br />dug-out. I also could see lots of graffiti, a burn pit, and it looked like some one <br />attempted to burn down a large sycamore tree next to the dug-out. <br />Abated By: <br />SUSZYCKI 06/24/2020 Visited the community center with the Encampment Response Team which <br />included SJC Sheriffs deputies, and Steve and Jose from Code Enforcement. The <br />tarp structure that was observed the day before was still there. The fire pit looked <br />like it had some trash thrown into it. There was a man and a woman sitting on the <br />bleachers near the tarp structure. I asked if they lived there and the man said, "No, <br />I have a home". Then he said that they saw a woman on a bike leaving there <br />earlier. <br />We also walked along the ditch in-between the school and the community center <br />property. We only observed trash. There wasn't any signs of recent habitation. <br />06/25/2020 Used the pictures taken during my inspection to create a photographic log. <br />Created an Inspection Report for the camp. <br />Combined the photographic log and Inspection Report into a PDF and sent it to <br />Melissa. <br />07/06/2020 Kennedy Recreational Center - Reviewed ERT evaluation <br />07/09/2020 Printed postings for Kennedy Park this morning. <br />Made folders with clear covers and solid brass fasteners. <br />Went with Mike to homeless encampment. <br />Posted 72 hour notices on each side of the dugout. No one was in the homeless <br />camp. Mike and one other employee from public works was at the location. <br />Took photos before 9 am. <br />Took photos of homeless encampment. <br />No sheriff was on site. <br />SUSZYCKI <br />SANGALANG <br />LINDSAY <br />07/09/2020 Visited the encampment with Ciera and public works to do the 72 hour posting. SUSZYCKI <br />Ciera posted the 72 hour notice and pamphlets about services.
