Mitchell Road, Manteca <br />APN: 21806001, SR0084647 <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability Study <br />(SSS) dated December 20, 2021 for the above noted location and has the following comments for your <br />consideration. <br />The Soil Suitability Study was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite <br />wastewater treatment system (OVVTS) usage. <br />Based on the information provided the EHD can make the following findings: <br />Based on the information provided the EHD finds that the Soil Suitability Study supports the suitability <br />for standard OVVTS usage for the proposed development pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance <br />Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d). <br />Percolation tests conducted on December 15, 2021 yields a percolation rate of 19.2 minutes per inch <br />(MPI), 17.9 MPI, 13.9 MPI, & 13.2 MPI. At this rate an 8 foot soil separation is required between bottom <br />of dispersal field and the groundwater. Groundwater is reported at 20 feet below grade (San Joaquin <br />County OVVTS Standard Table 1.10.2). <br />A nitrate loading study incorporating proposed OVVTS usage shall be submitted to the Environmental <br />Health Department; the studies must be approved by the Environmental Health Department prior to <br />issuance of a building permit. (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)).
