Soil Suitability /Nitrate Loading Study Irerracon
Munsch Property a Lodi, California
January 7, 2022 ■ Terracon Project No. NA217092
1.3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the site, our office reviewed
a recent aerial photograph of the property available from GoogleEarthTI. The vicinity of the site
consists of agricultural land and rural residences. The assumption was made that each
building/cluster of buildings has one septic system. Using this method, we determined there are
approximately 16 septic systems within 0.25 miles of the site.
1.3.5 Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Terracon searched the EHD Public Records website for the adjoining property septic permits. The
following table is a summary of septic permits available for the adjoining properties:
Table 3.
Summary of Adjoining Property Septic Permits.
Nr — No septic permits touna, LL — ieacn lines
Based on a review of the permits, the septic systems in the area generally appear to utilize 20- to
100 -foot -long leach lines and 25 -foot -deep seepage pits or 16 -foot -deep sump.
1.3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
Septic repair permits in the vicinity appear to be for the addition of leach lines and seepage pits.
Copies of selected septic permits can be found in Appendix C of this report.
1.3.7 Expected On -Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
The total maximum daily septic tank usage for the site was calculated based on the EHD
recommended daily use rate of 70 gallons per day (gpd) per bedroom assuming double
occupancy per bedroom. Refer to the table below for expected on-site maximum use rates.
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 6
Leach
Leach
Permit #
Tank Size
Line
Seepage Pits /
Direction
Address
Type
Line
(Year)
(Gallons)
Length
Sumps (Feet)
Quantity
(Feet)
75-615
Septic
North
16199 N.
