MURO
Called Officer Mann, 209-468-8925, at Code Enforcement. She referred me to
Officer Steve Thomas.
Called Officer Steve Thomas, 209-468-8396. He went to the property on Feb 6,
2020. He did not observe release of oil or gas. His findings were: 5 boats in drive
way, 6 or 7 jet skis, about 8 operable cars, and about 4 or 5 not operable cars
lacking motors. The property owner indicated that his friend had gone out of
business, and was holding them temporarily. In less than 30 days, about 11 or 12
cars will be gone.
02/18/2020 Emailed Steve Thomas (CDD) at sbthomas@sjgov.org to confirm prior phone MURO
conversation that there was no hazardous waste observed.
02/19/2020 Received email response from Officer Steve Thomas (CDD). Steve reported that MURO
the residence did have cars, some were inoperable, however they are allowed to
store cars. The property owner removed 6 cars and now has — 8 or 9 cars left and
4 boats. Steve closed the complaint as unfounded.
06/01/2020 Reviewed complaint. Based on Steve Thomas (CDD) site inspection findings, no MURO
hazardous waste was observed when he went to property.
06/02/2020 On site for complaint investigation. I parked across the property on the side of the MURO
road. As I was putting on my PPE, a car arrived. I then heard shouting from the
male tenant towards the female guest. The guest drove away soon after. I went
towards the property, but the gate was closed, so I could not access front door. I
left my business card on top of the mail box, and then took note of what I saw.
My observations:
Three vehicles parked up close to the house. Eight vehicles and two RVs were
parked on the northern side of the property. Saw about three boats on the farther
north of the front of property. Didn't observe any leaking or hazardous waste
stored on front of property. No vehicle maintenance was observed.
06/10/2020 Went to property. No one appeared to be home. Didn't observe hazardous
MURO
materials on front of property when viewing from the front gate. Several cars
outside, but no vehicle maintenance was observed.
5105. rpt
