Margie said
the spill report was received and dispatched to one of the officers on 10-24-2020.
I have been calling the RP, John Cowan (Ross Island Sand and Gravel, a hazardous waste
generator under our inventory), for an update every day. They are reporting that there is no
release as of yet. John says this is a huge process involving engineers and divers. As of today,
the barge is still under water. They will eventually raise it out of the water with a crane.
Please let me know if you have any concerns, or need me to go out there.
Thank you,
dauctia Muro
Environmental Health Specialist
San.loaquin County Environmental iIciJtli Department
1868 E.
