G® U ny r6MLAV19FdiiS
Q119VIEAMUD ult"VtpEmxiu"LMPE7
Vi9®E3`IP6-0 G6vd®fV ®4a©
CSI®ff`5'®ilio [1Lr®LVONQ
"i his report presents the findings, conclusions, and recommendations of a geotechnical
investigation conducted for the proposed Walnut Grove Sewer Project Booster Pump
Station to be constructed on the east side of North Cameron Road, between Thornton
Road and Barber Road in Thornton, California.
We understand that the proposed site will encompass approximately 0.17 acres.
Construction will consist of a booster pump station with dual 10 foot diameter wet wells
that will extend to a depth of about 20 to 25 feet below the existing ground surface. in
addition to the wet wells there will be two valve vaults that will extend up to 6 feet
below the existing ground surface and several other small equipment pads.
The auxiliary equipment will be supported on mat slabs. A canopy structure will cover
the electrical equipment pad. The canopy structure will be supported on drilled piers
rhe below grade vaults will be precast concrete. Each wet well will consist of a mat
slab with precast concrete barrel sections placed above the mat slab. Maximum
foundation loads (dead plus live) for the equipment pads and valve vaults are expected
to be relatively light, These are anticipated to be in the range of 500 to 1,000 pounds
per square foot for soil contact pressure. Since the site is relatively flat, we expect that
grading will consist of minor cuts and fills, less than 3 feet in vertical extent. The
structures will be surrounded by asphalt concrete pavement.
The geotechnical study conducted at this site was prepared for the use of the architect
and engineer for application to the design of the building and grading plans in
accordance with generally accepted geotechnical engineering practices. No warranty is
expressed or implied. This report presents the results of this study.
9D2lndustrlal I da} Lodi, CA 95240 209.36T370i - F; ?02333.8303 n2007 Neil r7.
