The label on the 55-gallon drum does not have an address but PRESTO
has Chevron listed on it with a possible address. The address does not show up
on the internet. Called all Chevron's in the area along highway 99 to see if anyone
is missing a drum. No Chevron's were missing any drums in any recent pick ups.
Researched the label more and it turns out the label is not showing a Chevron
address but showing Chevron oil - HDAX 92000 Low As Gas Engine Oil SAE 40.
Found the cut sheet for this oil online. The label is on a "empty" label that shows
that's what the previous contents were, but the drum is not empty. The Van de Pol
bucket has a phone number and a batch and product number. Called to see if Van
de Pol keeps records of who purchases what batch of products. They do not.
10/18/2021 Site visit on 10/18/2021 regarding dumping that occurred on property. When
arrived on site with lead senior, Elena Manzo, the drums were already transfered
from the ditch to the back of the business to be hauled with the business's
hazardous waste. There were three blue metal 55-gallon drums possibly
containing used oil. One drum was full, one drum was approximately 1/2 full, the
other drum was approximately 1/8 full. The drums had some denting. One 5-gallon
bucket contained grease and the other bucket contained ProFieet HD 15W/40.
The business excavated areas in the ditch that had leaks from the dumps items.
That excavated dirt and gravel will also be hauled with their other hazardous
waste. None of the dumped drums had proper hazardous waste labels. Owners of
dumped drums could not be identified.
The ditch had a small amount of residual staining from the dumped drums that
was cleaned up by the business. A photo of the clean-up was sent to EHD. All
clean-up has been completed in the ditch.
Inspection report emailed to Randy Gillies, President, Randy@gilliestrucking.com
PRESTO
5105.rpt Page 1 of 2
