I am still working with the shoring company and our structural engineer to build
plans in order to shore up the walls of the burned down part of the building. Once that plan has been approved by both
parties and the walls have been shored up, we will be able to enter the damaged part of the building and begin cleanup.
We will be hiring a cleanup crew once that process is ready, I am not sure which one yet.
As for what the fire department used on the fire I do not have that information, I haven't heard much at all from the fire
department throughout this entire process. I know the sprinkler system went off in the building and I believe the fire
department added more water to it but I am not positive.
Let me know if you need any additional information. I will be getting updates later this week regarding where we are in
the shoring process.
Thank you,
Matt
On Mon, Jul 19, 2021 at 3:14 PM Muro, Claudia [END] <cmuro@sigov.org> wrote:
Hi Matt,
A complaint was generated in response to the fire at 4447 S Airport Way in Stockton, CA on June 13,
2021. We issued a notice to abate for cleanup and disposal of the hazardous materials that may have
been impacted by the fire. Please view attached. However, DR3 Mattress Recycling has informed me
that the property owner has taken responsibility for the cleanup. Do you know what other areas may
have been impacted that may have released hazardous materials onto the environment? Do you
know what the fire department used to put out the fire? As there was standing water the following
day.
1
