WESTERN PUMP <br /> Petroleum & Lubrication Equipment Specialists <br /> Section 9 <br /> New Hire Orientation <br /> i <br /> Western Pump Inc. policy is the foundation of our Injury Prevention Program and must be <br /> clearly communicated to all employees from the first day of employment. Safety rules go <br /> hand in hand with Western Pump Inc. policy. If safety rules are adhered to , we will have a <br /> safer place to work and fewer accidents . Safety rules are also the basis for our disciplinary <br /> program as it applies to repeated violation of safe work practices. Like Western Pump Inc . <br /> policy, it must be clearly communicated to employees from their first day of employment <br /> All employees are to be given a copy of this New Hire Orientation and the Code of Safe <br /> Practices at their new hire orientation . These rules are to be reviewed with the employee and <br /> the employee must indicate he or she understands them . The supervisor is responsible for <br /> conducting the new hire orientation and communicating the importance of safety to all new <br /> hires . Documentation of this orientation shall be kept using the New Hire Checklist in the <br /> Appendix. <br /> What is our Safety Program ? <br /> • It is the policy of Western Pump Inc. that accident prevention shall be considered of <br /> primary importance in all phases of company operation and administration . <br /> • It is the intention of Western Pump Inc. to provide safe and healthy work conditions <br /> through the establishment of an IIPP .
