They have not yet received approval to operate
and are still in the process of being installed.
2)The replacement of the single-walled sumps with double-walled sumps on the previously existing tanks was part of
the original permit approval and is covered under the existing approved service requests. No additional time will be
need for approval. This work may be conducted immediately.
3)The addition of a double-walled fill sump or transition sump for the remote spill containers could be done with either
an amendment to the existing installation service request or by applying for a separate permit. Both ways are
acceptable.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Stacy Rivera
Lead Sr.Registered Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E.Hazelton Ave., Stockton,CA 95205
phone(209)616-3043
fax(209)468-3433
*Test notifications and test results should be sent to the general UST email: ustosigou.ory
*NOTE* I will be out of office every other Friday. Love's still
hopes to bring these tanks to use but as of now we don't see construction starting until September/October of 2023.
1) We are currently looking at getting a plan/cost to remove all the fuel from the new UST tanks. Is there any
permit or notices we need to provide if we remove the 87, Diesel and Biodiesel fuel ?
2) How long will the current permits for construction/retrofit be authorized if we plan to replace the sumps that
need brine ?
3) We are also looking into installing regular fill sumps for the remote spill buckets ?Would this require a new
retrofit permit ?
2
