Soil Suitability / Nitrate Loading Study
Buddhist Temple Proposed Dormitory • Stockton, California
July 11, 2019 • Terracon Project No. NA177056
lierracon
Septic System No. 3 will be constructed for the proposed 12 bedroom dormitory. The dormitory
is anticipated to increase nitrate as nitrogen levels by 11.8 mg/L-N for a total of 21.4 mg/L-N when -
one person is calculated per bedroom which is also reflective of the proposed use.
As a worst case scenario, the existing and proposed residential use have a potential to increase
nitrate levels for the site as high as 33.3 mg/L-N if two occupants are calculated per bedroom.
The existing 5 bedroom residence will reportedly be used for storage and the kitchen and restroom
will be used on as needed basis after the proposed 12 bedroom dormitory is constructed;
therefore, nitrate levels for the existing and proposed land use are not anticipated to reach
calculated levels.
If the EHD requires mitigation for the project, an advanced water treatment product or carbon
source may be considered mitigation options.
4.0 LIMITATIONS
This report was compiled as a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for the site.
