SAN ,dDAQ U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> C01-1 N T <br /> Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> SPX COOLING TECHNOLOGIES INC 200 N WAGNER AVE, STOCKTON February 18, 2022 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66265.31 Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Four 20 cubic yard roll-off bins labeled as hazardous waste were observed leaking liquid onto the <br /> ground. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately stop the leaking of hazardous waste onto the ground and clean up the leaked <br /> liquid. Manage the waste according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a <br /> statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department describing <br /> the storage and final disposition of the cleaned up waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 401 CCR 66265.171 Failed to store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br /> OBSERVATION: Four 20 cubic yard roll-off bins labeled as hazardous waste were observed leaking liquid onto the <br /> ground. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Hazardous waste shall be stored in a containers that are in good condition. If a <br /> container holding hazardous waste is not in good condition (e.g., severe rusting, apparent structural defects), or if it <br /> begins to leak,the owner or operator shall transfer the hazardous waste from this container to a container that is in <br /> good condition, or manage the waste in some other way that complies with the hazardous waste requirements. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately manage the hazardous waste in liquid tight containers. Provide a corrective <br /> action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION:The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: One 5 gallon <br /> container of used oil was observed without a closed lid. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are <br /> closed when not adding or removing waste.
