The containers <br /> were: <br /> -One black 55 gallon drum containing paper oil filters and oily absorbent was observed in the Hazardous Waste <br /> Storage Area without accumulation start date. Corrected on site. <br /> -One 5 gallon bucket observed inside a empty 55 blue plastic drum containing used oil. Corrected on site. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Corrected during the inspection, no further action needed. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil filters or fuel filters. <br /> OBSERVATION: Containers of used metal oil or fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed <br /> on-site. <br /> -One black 55 gallon drum containing drained used metal oil filters was observed in the Hazardous Waste Storage <br /> Area, open and missing an accumulation start date. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil Filters. <br /> California Health&Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately drain all metal oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid, store them inclosed, <br /> rainproof containers. Label the container with the words"drained used oil filters"or"used gasoline filters", <br /> depending on the contents. Mark the container with an accumulation start date. Dispose of all used filters stored <br /> on-site greater than one year. Used filters not stored, handled and disposed of according to this section are <br /> regulated as hazardous waste.
