Adobe Captivate Thursday, January 20, 2022 <br /> Slide 9 - Slide 9 <br /> Waste Storage Requirements <br /> Empty Containers: <br /> An empty container that previously held a <br /> hazardous waste shall meet the following <br /> requirements: <br /> • Containers must be completely empty <br /> with no visible residue. <br /> • All labels must be removed <br /> (except orientation label). <br /> • Empty containers must be stored <br /> outside the HWSA. <br /> Note <br /> Return empty containers to station of origin. <br /> Continue <br /> Slide notes <br /> When the FedEx Ground hazardous waste vendor arrives to a Station or Hub to pick up a shipment of hazardous waste, <br /> they are required to repack and relabel all waste for offsite transportation and disposal. <br /> The hazardous waste vendor will leave behind the empty containers for the facility to reuse for future waste collection activities. <br /> Prior to storing these empty containers,the facility is responsible for ensuring the containers are completely empty of debris <br /> with no visible residual liquid. <br /> Remove all labels,(except for orientation labels)from the containers including hazardous,non-hazardous,donation, <br /> universal waste and diamond labels. <br /> Store the empty containers outside of the Hazardous Waste Storage Area for future use or return to Station from which it was sent. <br /> Text Captions <br /> Page 16 of 35 <br />
