COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />10:43 am <br />10:13 am <br />Time Out: <br />Time In: <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Name of Facility: LA REINA SUPERMARKET Date: 02/09/2022 <br />Address: 1357 E LOUISE AVE, LATHROP 95330 <br />Owner/Operator: Telephone: (209) 858-5307 <br />Program Element: 1600 - FOOD PROGRAM Complaint #: CO0054646 <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />CO0054646 states: "FACILITY IS SELLING MOLDY CHEESE (SALVADORIAN CHEESE FROM THE DELI) SODA WAS <br />EXPIRED 12/12/21. RAW EGGS PURCHASED WERE BROWN INSIDE WHEN COMPLAINANT WENT TO COOK. <br />PRODUCTS ON THE SHELF ARE EXPIRED THROUGHOUT THE STORE." <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #6 Handwashing Facilities Supplied and Accessible <br />OBSERVATIONS: The hand sink in the meat department is not accessible (full of buckets, knives, etc.) Clean out hand sink <br />today and maintain the hand sink accessible at all times. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br />maintained in good repair. (113953.2) Adequate facilities shall be provided for hand washing, food preparation and the washing of <br />utensils and equipment. (113953, 113953.1, 114067(f)) <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />walk-in cooler -- 36.00º F cheese display case -- 40.00º F <br />eggs -- 38.00º F <br />FOOD ITEM -- LOCATION -- TEMP º F -- COMMENTS <br />NOTES <br />Complaint investigation conducted at permitted food facility. Per employee, she was not aware of this complaint. <br />The Salvadorean cheese (Crema Salvadoreno) comes in 5 gallon buckets. The crema is scooped and re-packaged into <br />smaller plastic containers and sold by weight. The two buckets on site this date have SELL BY dates of 3-2-22 & 4-5-22. No <br />mold was observed this date. <br />Raw eggs are sold in 18 ct., 20 ct. white, 20 ct. brown and 60 ct. white. Most eggs have a date of 2-18-22 (or later) with the <br />exception of a few flats of the Rosemary Farm 20 Ct. white eggs have a sell by date of 1-24-22. Return to distributor. No eggs <br />were cracked open this date. <br />A few bags of the white 6" Estilo tortillas have a date of 2-7-22.
