because it believes that given present technology and resources, this is the
lowest level to which water systems can reasonably be required to remove this
contaminant should it occur in drinking water. The Maximum Contaminant Level
Goal (MCLG) for DBCP is zero.
7.0 GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESEARCH
7.1 EPA Databases
The California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) manages contaminated
sites through two sub -agencies: the State Water Resources Control Board
(SWRCB) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). The
SWRCB's GeoTracker database includes underground storage tank (UST) sites,
leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites, cleanup program sites, and land
disposal sites. The database can be searched by reviewing two lists, the
Permitted Underground Storage Tank (UST) Sites list and the Cleanup Sites list.
DTSC's EnviroStor database includes Federal Superfund sites, State response
sites, voluntary cleanup sites, school cleanup sites, corrective action sites, and
permitted hazardous waste facilities.
Live Oak searched both databases on December 13, 2021 for any listed sites
within one-quarter mile of the Site. The subject Site was not listed on either
database, and no listed facilities were identified within one-quarter mile.
7.2 Environmental Health Department Databases
Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
Cleanup, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste Generators, Underground
Storage Tanks, Aboveground Storage Tanks, and Complaints databases, dated
April 2021, for facilities of concern within one-quarter mile of the Site.
The Site address was not included on the databases. The following four facilities
were identified within the search radius:
• Delu Vineyards, Jr., 15535 N. DeVries, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous
Waste Generators, Aboveground Storage Tanks lists, adjacent to the
southwest. Live Oak reviewed records on file at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department. An Agricultural Hazardous Materials
Inventory lists paraquat, copper sulfate, pesticide poisons, sulfur, diesel,
gasoline, waste oil, acetylene, argon, and oxygen as stored at this facility.
This facility was permitted as a small quantity hazardous waste generator
from 2009 through 2014. An Aboveground Petroleum Storage Program
Survey from 2009 lists a 1,000 -gallon gasoline tank, a 1,000 -gallon diesel
tank, a 2,500 -gallon red diesel tank, 55 gallons of hydraulic oil, 55 gallons
of solvent, and 250 gallons of waste oil stored at this facility.
