DESIGN CONCEPT - DOMESTIC FIRE AND WATER
The following numbers are my best estimate at this time and subject to final
approval at final design.
1 . Full Development - Domestic Demand
GPD
6 Acres - Motel 7,-500
5 Acres - RV Parking 7:500
21 Acres - Highway Service (Commercial ) 40,000
3 Acres - Restaurants 18,000
Daily Demand 73,000
Assume 50% in 4 Hours = 9,125 GPH
150 GPM
Assume a peaking factor of 2 = 300 GPM
2. Full Development - Fire Demand
Since there is no fire district, all buildings except small isolated
structures waived by Fire Marshall , shall have sprinklers.
Realizing that a sprinkler demand cannot be set without a building
design, I assume a demand of 850 GPM.
For full development the project will have two wells capable of provid-
ing 300 GPM @ 60 PSI , or 1 ,000 GPM (150 + 850) @ 25 PSI.
A generator will be provided to run one well and the treatment plant.
3. First Phase - See Exhibit 2
Can we install one well without generator and bond the second well ?
Any addition to the first phase will require the construction of the
second well and generator that will also supply the treatment plant
with power.
This is not a residential subdivision with a large or foreseeably large
water demand. Can the normal requirement of a 10,000 gallon pressure
tank be waived to another size based upon engineering design?
1
