WHEN CUSTOMER OPENED PACKAGE NOTICED A RANCID SMELL. CUSTOMER <br /> FEELS THAT THE BEST BY DATE WAS CHANGED TO KEEP FOR SALE LONGER. <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br /> 113700.All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br /> FOOD ITEM--LOCATION--TEMP°F--COMMENTS <br /> meat wall--market--34.00°F neck bone pieces--meat walk-in--32.00°F--range 31-33 F <br /> meat walk-in--35.00°F <br /> NOTES <br /> Complaint Inspection. <br /> Store manager was not aware of complaint. <br /> The meat products are delivered prepackaged to this facility. <br /> Per store manager the sell by dates are placed on site on all but the chicken meat products using a scanner. <br /> Once the outer case is opened to place the packaged meat products for display the items are scanned and the sell by dates <br /> are generated and placed. <br /> The sell by date for the neck bone packages is set to be 5 days after the day that the code is scanned. <br /> On the last day of the sell by date the price is discounted and any remaining products at 1 PM are removed from sale and are <br /> discarded <br /> No pork neck bones were for sale in the market during the inspection, there were pork bone packages in the meat walk-in that <br /> were delivered yesterday. <br /> One neck bone package from the meat walk-in was opened,there was no rancid smell noted on the three neck bone pieces <br /> in the package. <br /> The temperature of the neck bone pieces was 33 F, 32 F, and 31 F. <br /> Discussed report with Mike Rodriguez, Store Manager. <br /> No signature captured. <br /> FA0022674 C00055346 SCO04 11/04/2022 <br /> EHD 16-23 Rev.01/07/2021 Page 1 of 2 Complaint Inspection Report <br /> 1868 E.
