The Fact Sheet was submitted
on your behalf by Arcadis U.S. Inc. (Arcadis), and noted a public comment period from
7 September through 11 November 2020 (65 days). Central Valley Water Board staff
received no comments during the comment period.
As such, Central Valley Water Board staff request that you destroy all remaining Site
groundwater monitoring, soil gas, and remedial wells. As San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) maintains jurisdictional control over the
installation or destruction of wells in San Joaquin County, the requested well destructions
must be performed under SJCEHD permit(s) and in accordance with any and all
requirements of such permits.
By 29 January 2021, please submit a Well Destruction Work Plan which proposes the
method by which all remaining Site wells will be destroyed. SJCEHD permit staff typically
grant variances for the destruction of wells via pressure grout on a very limited basis, so
before submitting this work plan, please contact SJCEHD water well permit staff to
determine if your proposed destruction method meets their requirements.
KARL E.
