Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
No septic systems are currently located on the Site.
Proposed Septic System
A new septic system is proposed to serve the trucking facility.
On -Site Septic Permit History
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permit files were
searched for the Site address and former addresses of 4100 and 4112 South State
Route 99. The following septic permits were identified:
• November 1968 permit for new septic system at drive-in theater. The system
utilized a 6,000 -gallon septic tank, eight 100 -foot leach lines, and five 48 -inch
diameter by 25 -foot deep seepage pits (4100).
• July 1985 permit for new septic system for mobile home. The system utilized a
1,200 -gallon tank, a 100 -foot leach line, and 36 -inch diameter by 25 -foot deep
seepage pit. A well is depicted over 500 feet to the northeast (4100).
• July 1999 permit for destruction of septic tank (appears to be the 1985 system at
mobile home). This permit was allowed to expire (4100).
• July 2001 permit for destruction of septic tanks. It does not appear that this work
was completed; no final inspection is noted (4100).
• May 2004 permit for destruction of two septic tanks at old drive-in theater (4100).
These permits have been included in Appendix 4 of this report.
Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
To estimate the septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic systems that
exist within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo imagery
from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photo was assumed to have
one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that at least 74 septic systems per
square mile are located in the immediate vicinity of the Site; parcels located to the west
of the Site that are part of the City of Stockton were excluded from the count.
LOGE 2201 Page 2
