Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within <br /> 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> 404 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to inspect hazardous waste storage areas at least weekly. <br /> OBSERVATION: Free staining oil was observed inside the secondary containment of the hazardous waste <br /> containers storing used/waste oil and antifreeze. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The owner or operator shall inspect areas used for container storage or transfer, at <br /> least weekly, looking for leaking containers and for deterioration of containers and the containment system caused <br /> by corrosion or other factors. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately, begin conducting the necessary weekly inspections for all hazardous waste <br /> containers at this facility Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil filters or fuel filters. <br /> OBSERVATION: Drained used metal oil filter management. One black steel 55-gallon drum of metal filters in the <br /> storage waste area was not closed securely with the metal ring and bolt. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil Filters. <br /> California Health&Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately drain all metal oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid, store them in closed, <br /> rainproof containers. Label the container with the words"drained used oil filters"or"used gasoline filters", <br /> depending on the contents. Mark the container with an accumulation start date. Dispose of all used filters stored <br /> on-site greater than one year. Used filters not stored, handled and disposed of according to this section are <br /> regulated as hazardous waste.
