SAN ,dDAQ U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> C01-1 N T <br /> Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> LOVELACE TRANSFER STATION 2323 LOVELACE RD, MANTECA February 17, 2022 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 302 CCR 66265.32 Failed to have all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination equipment. <br /> OBSERVATION: <br /> -The secondary containment for the two metal storage sheds located in the transfer building were observed with <br /> sludge. <br /> -Two yellow secondary containment pallets were observed with approximately 1 inch of dark liquid in the transfer <br /> building. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> All facility spill control equipment shall be maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of <br /> emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the secondary containment into proper working order by removing the liquid in the <br /> secondary containment. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION:The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> -One black metal 55 gallon drum of used absorbent was observed open in the shop. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste.
