Obtain Engineer Designed System — Commercial application prior to installation of system. The fee is
based on the current schedule at the time of payment.
2. Obtain an annual package treatment facility permit to operate after the installation permit is finalized.
As part of package treatment, EHD shall require flow rate and monthly grab sample of total nitrogen
and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) from Inffluent and Effluent. The results are to be submitted to
EHD on quarterly basis. EHD may reduce the monitoring frequency based on the monitoring result
after two years.
3. EHD may require the service & maintenance to be continued on an ongoing basis after the two initial
years of service by Superior On -Site Solutions based on the consistency of monitoring results.
4. The sizing of the OWTS filter bed shall conform to San Joaquin County onsite wastewater treatment
system standard. The filter bed shall contain minimum of 12 inches of rocks below the drainpipe and 2
inches above the pipe. The rocks used for filter bed shall be one (1) inch to two and one-half (2 '/z)
inches in diameter.
5. Visual and audio alarm is required and verified by EHD inspector.
Note: It is the owner responsibility to ensure the system meets all requirements set forth in the design in
conformity with San Joaquin County (OWTS) Standard.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Senor Registered Environmental Health Specialist,
at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3018.
teven Shih, RENS
Program Coordinator
c: Rick McCauley with R&R Consulting 3609 Bradshaw Rd #311, Sacramento, CA 95826
1868 E.
