TABLE 1:VERNALIS WEST AND EAST PROJECT <br /> MITIGATION MONITORING PLAN <br /> Impact Mitigation Measures Monitoring Agency <br /> 4.2 Earth <br /> 4.2-2 Slope Stability. 4.2-2 Unconfined Compressive Strength tests shall be Public Works Department <br /> conducted every 25 vertical feet, or as deemed <br /> necessary by a geotechnical consulting firm, on <br /> block samples obtained for each major slope face <br /> during the excavation of the mining areas to <br /> confirm the strength values used in the <br /> geotechnical analysis. In addition, as the quarry is <br /> excavated, a geotechnical consulting firm shall <br /> inspect the slopes every 25 vertical feet, or as <br /> deemed necessary by the geotechnical consultant, <br /> to evaluate if the observed soils are consistent with <br /> the soil conditions anticipated in the slope stability <br /> analysis and Identify soil conditions at the site that <br /> would decrease the anticipated stability factors of <br /> safety.
