Approximately 15 gallons of diesel was BAKER <br />released when a customer overfilled their tank at Flying J located at 1501 N. Jack <br />Tone Road in Ripon. <br />4:24pm-Called Chelsea Meddings at 530-570-6755 regarding spill. No storm <br />drains or waterways were impacted. Spill was already cleaned up by facility <br />employees. Absorbent was used to clean spill and was placed in drums and will <br />be disposed of as hazardous waste with regular pick up. <br />4:18pm-4:30pm <br />01/31/2022 Generated complaint. Verified GIS in EC. Completed emergency response <br />record and site map. Wrote OIR. Emailed OIR to Joey Cupp (CERS contact) at <br />joey.cupp@pilottravelcenters.com. Completed prop 65. Put prop 65 on Elena <br />Manzo's (Lead Sr. RENS) desk for review. <br />02/14/2022 Wrote Notice to Abate for small amount of diesel that went into oil water separator <br />that has not been addressed. Failure to minimize release of a hazardous waste <br />will be written as a violation on the next routine inspection. <br />Emailed Notice to Abate to Aric Morton (Principal Geologist) at <br />aricm@broadbentinc.com. <br />Disposal records will be verified on next routine inspection (PR0516231). <br />Referred diesel in oil water separator to City of Ripon Public Works. Received <br />response that they would only look at it if there wasn't an oil water separator. <br />Abated complaint as 02-Office Response Only.
