Muro, Claudia [END]
From: Muro, Claudia [EHD]
Sent: Friday, August 14, 2020 2:36 PM
To: ruben.byerley@yrcfreight.com
Subject: 1535 E Pescadero 8-14-20 Incident
Hi Ruben,
I left you a voice mail requesting an SDS for the hydrobromic acid so that we can verify
whether other substances are in the product. I have more questions I asked the Distribution
Center Manager, Marc Murdock, but he was unable to answer. Marc asked that I address
this and other related questions to you.
Can you please provide waste determination for the two 55-gallon drums. In other words, will
they be disposed of as hazardous or non-hazardous waste? Please note: There was other
waste generated from cleanup that may not have been neutralized such as PPE, card
board, and contaminated wooden pallet pieces.
The hydrobromic product that remained in the damaged drum was over-packed. Can you
please provide it's disposition?
Acon contractor indicated that the waste will remain on site for a short time, as they will
return to pick up other waste from facility, please provide copies of disposal records.
Thank you,
(ftwAdia 91faeo,
Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E.
