Called 209-468-6000 and spoke with Debbie. BAKER <br />A box truck was struck in a hit and run and saddle tank was ruptured causing the <br />release of approximately 20 gallons of diesel into the southeast storm drain at <br />Industrial Avenue and B Street. <br />6:18 am-Called Bob Newman of Stockton Fire at 209-937-8023. Accident <br />occurred at 5 am. Stockton Fire patched the saddle tank on the truck. All diesel <br />was washed down the storm drain by the rain. Stockton Fire notified MUD. <br />6:25 am-Called City of Stockton MUD emergency line (209-937-8341) several <br />times. Line was busy every time. <br />6:38 am-Called Richard Stifler of Storm Water at 209-993-3274 and notified him <br />of the release. <br />6:50 am-Left for site. <br />7:29 am- Arrived on site. No smell of diesel observed near storm drain. No sheen <br />observed in storm drain. Rain has washed all diesel into drain. Rajwant Klair of <br />Atkins Sheep Ranch was still on site (driver of truck that caused release). Rajwant <br />Klair would not give me any information about company or contact information. <br />Left message for Richard Stifler at 7:40 am updating him on current status. Called <br />Stockton Police at 7:55 am (209-937-8377) for driver's information. <br />7:57 am- Left site. <br />8:53am-Received call from Richard Stifler that release was washed into retention <br />basin east of incident on Industrial Avenue. Sheen observed on western side of <br />pond.
