ORCHARD 132 MHP & WATER SYSTEM
12/09/2021
WATER QUALITY INFORMATION
Some things to consider that effect your water quality:
Smell
Check to see if all sinks are connected with a proper water trap, usually
called a P-trap.
Without them you could experience odor coming from septic.
With them it is a good idea to flush with a septic safe drain
cleaner or citrus, orange, lime or limon juice.
Filter:
If your unit has a water filter make sure filter is changed on a regular
basis. (See manufactures specifications for filter cartridge change
frequency)
Hose Bib Vacuum Breakers:
Algae grows inside many garden hoses, if your hose bib is not protected
with a vacuum breaker, water could back flow into your unit causing a
distinct odor. Hose Bib Vacuum Breakers are available at most hardware
stores with an estimated cost of under $14.00.
The Orchard 132 well is tested monthly for bacteria with recent tests for odor and taste. No
adverse effects have been found or experienced in the water coming from the well site.
