SAN J D AR I N Environmental Health Department <br /> Y AMENDED <br /> 3/7/2022 <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> MR EDS MUFFLER, RADIATOR&AUTO CA 23910 S DARRIGO DR, TRACY March 04, 2022 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 104 CCR 66262.34(d)(2)No modified contingency plan. <br /> OBSERVATION: A complete modified contingency plan was not posted at the facility. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business operator must post the following information next to telephones or in <br /> areas directly involved in the generation and accumulation of hazardous waste: the name and emergency <br /> telephone number of the emergency coordinator, the location of fire extinguishers and spill control material, and the <br /> telephone number of the fire department unless the facility has a direct alarm. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION:A modified contingency plan was completed and placed on the board on site during the <br /> inspection. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br /> were:one black metal 55-gallon drum of used oil was observed on site without a hazardous waste label. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by completing a hazardous waste label <br /> and placing it on the drum. No further action is required to correct this violation. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> An inspection report was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection (3/4/2022). The report was <br /> amended today 3/7/2022 to remove#105 and replace with #104. This amened report and replaces the initial <br /> report from 3/4/2022. All violations were corrected on site. No additional follow up is required. <br /> Minor violation corrected on site: 55-gallon drum of used fuel filters did not have a lid. A lid was placed on the <br /> drum during the inspection. <br /> Wastes generated by this facility: used oil, used antifreeze, used fuel filters <br /> Documents provided during inspection: list of free CUPA classes, hazardous waste labels, sample hazardous <br /> waste labels <br /> To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br /> of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate <br /> ($152).
