Robert & Natalia - some suggestions for this morning's meetings on the Snyder Dump - based on what we do now versus back in 2002. Recommend that additional investigation be performed on the Palomino/Waller property Develop a current topographic drawing (with ground survey) Determine previous topography (USGS topographic maps of the area depicting the previous gravel mining excavations) Develop a "fill map" based on USGS topographic maps and current topography Perform a volume estimate based on the difference between previous topography and current topography Perform geophysical survey of "fill areas" Perform additional sampling of areas identified as "fill" This should be done prior to developing a consolidate and cap plan. After reviewing the previous analytical results for the site - there may be some hazardous substances issues associated with the fill (there was a hit of Arsenic at 120,000 mg/Kg, and zinc levels across the site were elevated particularly in the northern portion of the site, e.g. T-1, T-9, T-29, T-65, T-66). We did not spend a lot of time on the Waller property (it was toward the tail -end of the investigation). If the owner is going to endeavor to consolidate waste from 4 acres into 1 acre - he probably should have a good understanding of how the waste extents are distributed across the property. Also he should have an understanding of the characteristics of the waste to be consolidated.
