day. I accepted Jim Czarnecki's offer to photograph containers or other materials found during
a search of the debris and materials on the property.
Looking north across a fence, I saw three open topped 55 gallon capacity steel drums, one closed
55 gallon capacity steel drum, two steel storage tanks of approximately 250 gallon capacity
each, and two large steel storage tanks with an estimated capacity of 1,500 gallons each on the
adjacent property. I did not investigate further on the north side of the fence because I could not
determine if it was also part of Mr. Bill Lane's property and did not wish to complicate matters
by entering a second party's property.
I chose not to enter areas which had visible flames or generated large quantities of smoke. I saw
the following materials and items mixed in among soil, construction debris and other garbage in
the burning or smoldering areas:
a) Ash and burnt material
b) Soil
c) Wood debris
d) Broken pieces of concrete
e) Sections of plastic pipe (PVC)
f) More than 5 truck and auto tires in each of three different areas
g) Three partially crushed 55 gallon capacity chemical drums containing residues of
an amber colored oil. These drums had manufacturing labeling indicating that the
original contents were lube oils.
h) Four 5 gallon blue plastic containers of Delco 100 Chevron Oil which held small
quantities of residues.
i) Three 5 gallon white plastic containers with visible white solid residues. The
containers had manufacturer labels for household detergents and cleaning materials.
j) Two melted and fire damaged blue plastic 5.gallon containers which could not be
positively identified.
k) Seven 55 gallon capacity chemical drums which had been crushed and partially
buried
1) One 12 volt equipment battery
m) Other organic material which was burning
n) Pieces of steel, metal pipe, and metal scrap
o) One matress and box spring which had been burnt
