<br /> Funnel cakes are fried cakes made from the mixture of flour, milk, eggs, salt, baking powder,
<br /> and sugar. It is a dessert like donuts, churros and Lumpia. These funnel cakes will be sold with a
<br /> variety of toppings from sprinkles to chocolate chips and different bits of cereal. They will also
<br /> be sold with different syrups and sauces such as chocolate, Lechera, caramel, strawberry syrup,
<br /> and Nutella.
<br /> Funnel Cake Recipe/Preparation
<br /> 1. In a large stainless-steel bowl, weigh 720 grams of all-purpose flour, and 100 grams of
<br /> granulated sugar using a kitchen scale.
<br /> 2. Add 1 teaspoon of Pink Himalayan Salt, and 4 teaspoons of baking powder to the bowl.
<br /> 3. Whisk and stir all dry ingredients together until there are no clumps.
<br /> 4. Add 4 cups of milk, and 6 eggs to the dry ingredients.
<br /> 5. Use electric mixer to beat and mix dry and wet ingredients for 1-3 minutes. this will form
<br /> smooth consistency of the funnel cake batter.
<br /> 6. In a medium pot, heat 1" of oil to 375°F over medium-high heat. Use cooking
<br /> thermometer to measure the temperature of the oil.
<br /> 7. Drizzle batter from a cup (with a spout at the end) in a thin line, swirling around the pan
<br /> and in an overlapping manner as desired. Cook for 2 minutes or until light golden brown,
<br /> then flip and cook another 2 minutes or until golden brown.
<br /> 8. Dust the funnel cake with 3-4 tablespoons powdered sugar and serve. Repeat 8-10 more
<br /> time with the remaining batter.
