Pine Street, Thornton
APN: 001-200-20, SR0084897
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has received and reviewed the Rapid
Percolation Mitigation Design dated February 21, 2022 and its addendum dated March 26, 2022 for
above referenced location. EHD accept the proposed septic system design and has the following
comments.
The soil sampled from the 48"- 54" depth was determined to be a silt loam through lab analysis
which categories to be Group B type soil. Through lab analysis, the saturated hydraulic
conductivity of Group B soil can be determine to be 3.6 in/hr equivalent to percolation rate of 16.7
min/inch. Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Standard (OVVTS) require 8' soil separation
between bottom of dispersal field and groundwater for percolation rate of 16.7 min/inch.
Groundwater was determined to be at 10.33'.
In order to meet 8' soil separation between groundwater and dispersal field the 1,600-gallon
septic tank and rest of the system shall be installed under permit and inspection as it is depicted
on the Engineer designed plans dated March 25, 2022.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Senior Registered Environmental Health
Specialist at nahmed@sjgov.org or at (209) 616-3018.
Steven Shih, REHS
Program Coordinator
CC: Chesney Consulting- P.O.Box 3794 Turlock, CA 95381
1868 E.
