During the
performance of the test it was indicated that two test would be
required so consequently a second test was performed adjacent to
the existing leach field on the Designated Remainder parcel . This
letter presents the results of our tests.
For approximate locations of the tests please see the attached
location map. Locations were determined by pacing so consequently
accuracy can only, .be assumed so far as this method warrants.
Test holes were drilled with a truck mounted powered drill rig
utilizing 6 inch auger. Test holes were logged by a representative
from our office. A summary of the soils encountered at each of the
test holes is attached. At test location 1 (PT-1 ) an initial 25
foot deep test hole was drilled in the search for an adequate
percolating stratum. The most favorable stratum was a clayey sandy
silt stratum encountered from a depth of 8 to 15 feet. A second
test hole was drilled at this location to a depth of 10 feet for
use in performing the percolation test. At test location 2 (PT-2 )
a test hole was drilled to a depth of 9 . 5 feet, which was into the
clayey sandy silt stratum, for use in performing the percolation
test.
Two inches of gravel was placed in the bottom of each test
hole. Both holes were filled with water 24 hours prior to running
the tests. The last half hour of the tests readings were witnessed
by a county health official and the test data obtained is attached.
A summary of the test results is presented next:
EXJ' H I "Esk I T 4
