Brusca File No. 137-002 <br />Page 4 <br />December 14, 2018 <br />Murphy Parkway Property Waste Materials Management Verification Report <br /> <br />landfill disposal; waste associated with these cells apparently remains on the adjoining <br />westerly property. <br /> <br />• collection of samples of soil and waste materials from WU1, SWC, and NWC areas, as <br />well as from other site areas for analytical laboratory testing. <br /> <br />AGE’s investigative, remedial, and characterization work associated with solid wastes on the <br />subject parcel was summarized in a final Site Assessment Summary Report dated June 21, 2018.5 <br />The CVRWQCB indicated concurrence with the final Site Assessment Report in a letter dated <br />December 5, 2018.6 <br /> <br /> <br />3.0 WASTE MANAGEMENT WORKPLAN <br /> <br />As indicated earlier in this report, the waste management work related to WU1 at the site is a <br />component of the clean closure activities for the subject parcel. An element of the approved Clean <br />Closure Plan is an Excavation and Material Management Plan (EMMP) that was prepared by our <br />firm. The EMMP presented measures and procedures for the removal, management, sampling, <br />testing, and evaluation of residual solid waste materials within WU1.7 Our firm prepared an <br />Addendum to the EMMP dated March 22, 2018 to slightly revise the verification soil sampling <br />program (testing of soils beneath the area of removed wastes) as suggested by the Central Valley <br />Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB).8 The EMMP and the Addendum were <br />approved by the oversight agencies prior to implementation of the work. <br /> <br /> <br />4.0 WU1 WASTE EXCAVATION, STOCKPILING, SAMPLING/TESTING, AND <br />EVALUATION <br /> <br />4.1 General <br /> <br />Excavation, removal, and stockpiling of waste materials and associated soil within WU1 (capped <br />area within the northwesterly portion of the subject parcel) was performed in April 2018 by Ramcon <br />Engineering and Environmental Contracting. The work was overseen by a Certified Engineering <br />Geologist from our firm; additionally, representatives of SJCEHD, the CVRWQCB, and CalRecycle <br />observed the work.
