LIVE OAK GEO ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
407 W. Oak St., Lodi, CA 95240 •:• (209) 369-0375 s• logelodi.com
April 26, 2022
Project Number: 2225
Todd Hosmer
H&D Homes
4826 Golden Foothill Parkway, Unit 5
EI Dorado Hills, CA 95762
Regarding: Percolation Test
Herrin Property
APN 003-100-40
795 W. Brovelli Woods Ln., Acampo, CA (21.08 Acres)
Mr. Hosmer:
Per your request, Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) has completed a percolation test
for the subject Site, located at 795 West Brovelli Woods Lane, Acampo (Plate 1). We
understand that you are constructing a house on the Site, and the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department is requiring the completion of a percolation test before
septic permits can be issued.
Soil Boring
On April 24, 2022, Live Oak excavated a shallow soil boring on the Site for the purpose of
percolation testing. The boring was four inches in diameter, 2.17 feet deep, and was
excavated by hand auger. The location of the boring is indicated on the attached Plate 2.
Soil Log
The soil in the boring was observed to be sandy silt to the full depth of the hole.
Preparation and Presaturation of Percolation Test Hole
After the boring was advanced, the test hole was completed for the percolation testing.
Approximately two inches of pea gravel were placed in the bottom of the open soil boring,
followed by a 2.0 -inch diameter PVC pipe with perforations on the bottom. Pea gravel was
then used to backfill a few inches of the annular space.
Live Oak presaturated the percolation test hole approximately 24 hours prior to the percolation
testing. The hole was filled with water to a height of 12 inches above the bottom of the boring
for the presaturation. On the day of testing, the hole was found to be intact and dry.
Environmental Engineering Geology . Geophysics
