piping and use a crane to lift the tanks onto flatbed trucks for transport off-site for disposal or <br /> recycling as non-hazardous waste. <br /> Concrete Cutting and Linde round Pipeline Removal <br /> Hudspeth will saw-cut the concrete overlaying the approximately 20-foot length of underground <br /> piping leading to the remote fuel dispenser. The fill material overlaying the piping will be <br /> removed and temporarily stockpiled adjacent to the trench. <br /> Pipin2/Disyenser Disposal <br /> The aboveground and underground portions of the removed piping and two fuel dispensers will <br /> be placed into a 20-cubic yard storage bin with a closeable top by Hudspeth. The contents of the <br /> bin will be transported off-site for disposal as non-RCRA hazardous waste by Environmental <br /> Logistics. <br /> Soil Sampling Activities <br /> Two soil samples will be collected will be collected from the piping trench under the direction <br /> and supervision of the South San Joaquin Fire Authority(SSJFA). In addition, one four-point <br /> composite sample will be collected from the stockpiled fill material removed from the piping <br /> trench. The samples will be analyzed for TPH-diesel by EPA Method 8015M and for VOCs by <br /> EPA Method 8260B. Analysis will be on a 24-hour turnaround time. <br /> Site Restoration <br /> After receipt of the analytical results and permission is received by the SSJFA, the trench will be <br /> backfilled with the removed fill material and backfilled the rest of the way to grade using <br /> aggregate base rock by Hudspeth. The surface covering (concrete or asphalt) will not be <br /> replaced by APTIM in this area. <br /> Reporting <br /> Following completion of AST removal activities, a report will be prepared by APTIM <br /> documenting field activities. The report will include copies of any permits issued, figures, <br /> manifests, and lab reports.
