The calculations above exclude the infiltrative surface of the sump disposal structure, which will
act as additional area for the management of effluent as the filter bed ages and/or under extreme
hydraulic stress.
It is recommended that the kitchen sink should not have a disposal. All food waste should be
handled as solid waste and disposed of in the garbage.
Domestic water use and irrigation water use over the filter bed area must be kept to the lowest
volumes possible. For example, laundry should be done throughout the week and not just on
weekends. When draining bathtubs, the water should be drained very slowly.
Consideration should be given to pumping the septic tank every three years to mitigate nitrogen
loading by extraction of septage.
LIMITATIONS
The findings, opinions, calculations and conclusions of this report are based upon information
from standard engineering and analytical/physical test procedures, contemporary scientific
literature and agency consultations. Information used in these studies is deemed reliable by the
sources from where it was obtained.
This report is based upon current scientific knowledge to assess factors which are extremely
variable and complex within the environment. Although there are several methods to predict
environmental impact from a septic system, San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Standards and requirements have been
employed for these purposes, and for this project. Therefore, no guarantee or warranty is
expressed or implied concerning any aspect of this report, or for the prevention of environmental
impact. This report is not to be used, in whole or in part, by any private or public entity for any
subsequent studies or reporting on the subject.or surrounding properties without the expressed
written consent of the author of these Studies.
If there should be any questions regarding the information contained within this report, please
contact the undersigned.
Respectfully submitted,
CHESNEY CONSULTING
Don Ch sney, PE
CA Registered Civil ngineer #C75479
CA Registered Nitrogen Management Specialist #341829
Pane -5-
Chesney Consulting
