AGE concurs with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality
Control Board’s (CVRWQCB) comments.
 If staining is observed in the soil beneath the waste unit excavation, AGE will mark and identify
the locations and then make arrangements to collect grab groundwater samples in the
locations of stained soil. Grab groundwater sampling will be performed using direct push
drilling methods.
 DI WET analytical method testing will be added to the verification sampling plan. DI WET
testing will include arsenic, lead, chromium, and mercury.
 Additional figures will be provided in the verification report that depict existing areas at the site
as requested in Comment 4 of the letter.
The removal of the soil cap and underlying waste material is scheduled to begin at 8:00 am on
Monday 18 March 2019. Verification sampling will not be performed until the following week at the
earliest. AGE will contact CVRWQCB staff to schedule verification sampling towards the end of next
week once a date can be confirmed.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments and thank yo u for your continued
assistance with this project.
Sincerely,
