Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br />Existing Septic System <br />One septic system is currently located on the Site to serve the mobile home park (Plate <br />2). Mr. Wert has provided details about the existing system, which includes an <br />advanced treatment system utilizing an extended aeration activated sludge (Appendix <br />6). The system is operated under the oversight of the California Regional Water Quality <br />control Board and is subject to quarterly testing for nitrate and other constituents. <br />Proposed Septic System <br />Due to the age of the existing leach field, Environmental Enterprises is planning a repair <br />to the system utilizing either deep trenches or seepage pits. The existing seepage pits <br />will be taken off-line and retained as a backup, according to Mr. Wert. <br />On -Site Septic Permit History <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permit files were <br />searched for the Site address. Eight documents were identified: <br />• July 1969 permit for septic system at mobile home park. The system utilized an <br />18,000 -gallon tank. <br />• June 1977 permit for addition to septic system at mobile home park. Two 32- by <br />32 -foot polishing ponds and twelve 36 -inch diameter by 25 -foot deep seepage <br />pits were added to the existing system. <br />• June 1984 permit for repair to septic system at mobile home park. <br />• September 1985 permit for addition to septic system at mobile home park. Three <br />48 -inch diameter by 25 -foot deep seepage pits were added to the system. <br />• March 1988 permit for addition to septic system at mobile home park. Twelve <br />36 -inch diameter by 25 -foot deep seepage pits were added to the system. <br />• September 2000 permit for addition to septic system at mobile home park. A 20 - <br />by 40- by 4 -foot deep disposal pond was added to the system. <br />• June 2015 Liquid Waste Plan Check and Wastewater System Repair Plan. <br />• June 2015 permit for repair to septic system at mobile home park. An 18,000 - <br />gallon, 5 -chamber package treatment plant was installed, and the sludge <br />beds/ponds were destroyed. <br />LOGE 2218 Page 2 <br />
