•.•,, LIVE OAK GEO ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
407 W. Oak St., Lodi, CA 95240 •:• (209) 369-0375 :• logelodi.com
May 26, 2022
Project Number: 2229
Steve Moyer
Mid-Cal Constructors
3416 Newton Rd.
Stockton, CA 95205
Regarding: Percolation Testing
Two New Homes for Jat Dhillon
APN 058-110-45
3725 / 3661 E. Armstrong Rd., Lodi, CA
Mr. Moyer:
Per your request, Live Oak GeoEnviron mental, Inc. (Live Oak) has completed a percolation test
for the subject Site, located at 3725 and 3661 East Armstrong Road, Lodi (Plate 1). We
understand that you are constructing two houses on the Site for Mr. Jat Dhillon, and the San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department is requiring the completion of percolation
tests before septic permits can be issued.
Soil Boring
On May 19, 2022, Live Oak excavated two shallow soil borings on the Site for the purpose of
percolation testing. The borings were four inches in diameter, 2.39 and 2.75 feet deep, and
were excavated by hand auger. The locations of the borings are indicated on the attached
Plate 2.
Soil Log
The soil in each boring was observed to be sandy silt to the full depth of the hole.
Preparation and Presaturation of Percolation Test Hole
After the borings were advanced, the test holes were completed for the percolation testing.
Approximately two inches of pea gravel were placed in the bottom of each open soil boring,
followed by a 2.0-inch diameter PVC pipe with perforations on the bottom. Pea gravel was
then used to backfill a few inches of the annular space.
Live Oak presaturated the percolation test holes approximately 24 hours prior to the
percolation testing. Each hole was filled with water to a height of 12 inches above the bottom
of the boring for the presaturation. On the day of testing, both holes were found to be intact
and dry.
Environmental Engineering Geology o Geophysics
