All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #6 Handwashing Facilities Supplied and Accessible <br />OBSERVATIONS: The kitchen hand sink was lacking paper towels. Maintain the paper towel dispenser stocked at all times <br />to ensure proper hand washing. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br />maintained in good repair. (113953.2) Adequate facilities shall be provided for hand washing, food preparation and the washing of <br />utensils and equipment. (113953, 113953.1, 114067(f)) <br /> #30 Food Storage/Display Properly Labeled <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed a large container of rice in the back storage area without a label. Provide labels on all food <br />containers to avoid confusion amongst food preparation employees. Correct today. <br />Observed box of cabbage on floor on walk-in cooler. Floor of walk-in cooler observed with puddle of water. Boxes of <br />broccoli with ice accumulation are melting onto the floor of the walk-in cooler. Place and store all food items six inches off <br />the floor. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Food shall be stored in approved containers and labeled as to contents. Food shall be stored at least 6" <br />above the floor on approved shelving. (114047, 114049, 114051, 114053, 114055, 114067(h), 114069 (b)) <br /> #39 Thermometers Provided/Accurate/Easily Visible <br />OBSERVATIONS: Walk-in cooler was lacking an operational thermometer. Provide a thermometer for the cooler. Correct <br />within two weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An accurate easily readable metal probe thermometer suitable for measuring temperature of food shall be <br />available to the food handler. A thermometer +/- 2 #F shall be provided for each hot and cold holding unit of potentially hazardous foods <br />and high temperature warewashing machines.
