The containers <br /> were: <br /> -Two 55-gallon black steel drums with oily absorbent pads with no labels <br /> -Three 55-gallon (two black, one blue)steel drums with contaminated solids with no labels <br /> -Three 55-gallon(two black, one blue)steel drums with paper oil filters with no accumulation start dates. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste. Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil filters or fuel filters. <br /> OBSERVATION: Drained used metal oil filter management.Two 55-gallon drums of metal filters were not closed <br /> securely with the metal ring and bolt. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil Filters. <br /> California Health&Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately drain all metal oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid, store them in closed, <br /> rainproof containers. Label the container with the words"drained used oil filters"or"used gasoline filters", <br /> depending on the contents. Mark the container with an accumulation start date. Dispose of all used filters stored <br /> on-site greater than one year. Used filters not stored, handled and disposed of according to this section are <br /> regulated as hazardous waste. Provide a corrective action statement, disposal records and supporting <br /> documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by [DATE, 30 days from now] . <br /> Wastes generated by this facility: Shop rags, used oil, metal oil filters, used antifreeze , Paper oil filters and <br /> absorbent pads. <br /> To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br /> of having them sign.
