All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #1 Demonstration of Knowledge <br />OBSERVATIONS: Employee internal food safety training was not available during the inspection. Provide food safety <br />training for employees within 30 days of hiring and maintain records on site. Email certificate for employee food safety <br />training to dafonskaia@sjgov.org within 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All food employees shall have adequate knowledge of and be trained in food safety as it relates to their <br />assigned duties. (113947) Food facilities that prepare, handle or serve non-prepackaged potentially hazardous food, shall have an <br />employee who has passed an approved food safety certification examination. (113947-113947.1) Any food handler hired after June 1, <br />2011 shall obtain a Food Handler Card within 30 days (113948). <br /> #27 Food Protected from Contamination <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed debris on both customer and drive thru ice chutes. Clean ice chute today and maintain clean. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All food shall be separated and protected from contamination. Keep pressurized cylinders secured to a rigid structure at <br />all times. Correct today. <br />The faucet head for the hand sink near the front counter was loose. Repair/replace within 1 week. <br />Observed ice accumulation in walk-in freezer on wall around compressor pipe and in walk-in cooler on wall that is shared <br />with walk-in freezer. Clean within 2 weeks and repair a necessary. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All utensils and equipment shall be fully operative and in good repair. (114175).
