All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. #1 Pool Gates MAJOR OBSERVATIONS:One of the gates does not latch properly on the north entrance. Repair today. Close pool area until the corrections are made and verified by this department. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well maintained. (CCR 65535) #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR OBSERVATIONS:Free chlorine is above 10 ppm.Adjust to 1 ppm to 10 ppm. Close pool until the corrections are made and verified by this department. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck.
