All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The free chlorine is high, about 50 ppm. Adjust the free chlorine to 3 ppm to 10 ppm. Close spa until it <br />the correction is verified by this department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #31 Disinfectant Feeders <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is not chlorinator/feeder. Install by today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Each pool shall be provided with a system capable of continuous disinfection of the pool water. (CBC 3123B) <br />Disinfectant feeders shall be capable of supplying not less than the equivalent of 3 pounds of 100 percent available chlorine per day per <br />10,000 gallons of pool water. (CBC 3134B) <br /> #35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: The flow meter is not functioning. Replace or repair by today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications.
