All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:pH is above 8.Adjust to 7.2 to 7.8. Close pool until the corrections are made and verified by this <br /> department. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br /> OBSERVATIONS:All of the pool lights were disconnected. Provide a letter to this department that states the electrical lines <br /> have been disconnected at the J box within 3 days. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br /> pool. When a pool is used at night,pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br /> not operational,the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating"NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall <br /> secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31158) <br /> #21 Water Level <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The water level of the pool was below the skimmer. The water level of the pool shall be maintained at a <br /> level that will allow continuous removal of surface debris through the pool skimming system. Correct today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:The pool operator shall ensure that the pool water is maintained at a level that will allow continuous removal of <br /> surface debris through the pool skimming system. (CCR 65533) <br /> #33 Minimum Turnover Time <br /> OBSERVATIONS:At the time of the inspection the pump was not running and the water level was below the level of the <br /> skimmers. Pump is only turned on during operation hours. Recirculation system shall have the capacity to provide <br /> complete turnover of the pool water for 8 hours for pools constructed prior to 1982 and 6 hours for all other pools. Ensure <br /> that the pump is operating to completely turnover the pool within the required time frame when pool is in service. Correct <br /> today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Recirculation system shall have the capacity to provide a complete turnover of the pool water within the <br /> following timeframes:30 minutes for spas and spray grounds, 1 hour for wading pools, 2 hours for medical pools, 8 hours for pools <br /> constructed prior to 1982,and 6 hours for all other types of public pools. (CBC 31248)Flow rate of the recirculation system shall not fall <br /> below 75 percent of the required turnover time.
