All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pool's free chlorine level was undetected. Increase chlorine level to 1 —10 PPM. Keep pool closed <br /> until the corrected and verified by this department. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pool's pH level was>8. pH.Adjust water pH to 7.2-7.8. Keep pool closed until the corrected and <br /> verified by this department. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #17 Cleanliness of Pool <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed debris inside the pool floor and over the surface of water. Clean and remove all debris. Keep <br /> pool closed until the corrected and verified by this department. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br /> in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides,and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br /> and free of slime and algae. (CCR 65533) <br /> #33 Minimum Turnover Time <br /> OBSERVATIONS:At the time of the inspection the pump was not running as pool is currently closed. Turnover time could <br /> not be determined. Ensure the recirculation system provides a complete turnover of the pool water for 8 hours if pool was <br /> constructed prior to 1982 and 6 hours for all other pools. Ensure that the pump provides complete turnover within the <br /> required time frame once pool is back in service. Keep pool closed until corrected and verified by this department. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Recirculation system shall have the capacity to provide a complete turnover of the pool water within the <br /> following timeframes:30 minutes for spas and spray grounds, 1 hour for wading pools, 2 hours for medical pools, 8 hours for pools <br /> constructed prior to 1982,and 6 hours for all other types of public pools. (CBC 31248)Flow rate of the recirculation system shall not fall <br /> below 75 percent of the required turnover time.
