Approve the Negative Declaration; <br /> 2. Adopt a Motion of Intent to approve General Plan Amendment Application <br /> No. GP-01-8 based on the ability to make the Basis for General Plan <br /> Amendment (Attachment "A"); and <br /> 3. Adopt a Motion of Intent to approve Zone Reclassification Application No. ZR- <br /> 01-6 based on the ability to make the Bases for Zone Reclassification <br /> (Attachment"A") <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The purpose of these applications is to amend the General Plan and zoning of a 0.53- <br /> acre portion of a 5.26-acre parcel in order to submit a Site Approval application to <br /> establish a truck parking facility. In 1999, GP-99-3 and ZR-99-1 were approved to <br /> change the General Plan and zoning of a three-acre portion of a 5.26-acre parcel from <br /> A/G to I/L and C-X to I-W, respectively. The applicant did not request enough acreage <br /> to accommodate the truck parking use and is now requesting an additional 0.53 acres. <br /> REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: <br /> The Planning Commission considered this matter at its meeting of September 20, 2001. <br /> The project remained on the consent calendar, and the Planning Commission voted 7-0 <br /> to refer this item to the Board of Supervisors with the above recommendation.
