November 7, 2003
FOR: San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
Mr. Raymond Borges, R.E.H.S.,R.D.I.
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
PROJECT: Proposed Sherman Landscape and Masonry Supply
23100 South Kasson Road - Tracy, CA 95376
APN 239-060-04
Mr. Lee Helms %LTH Trust- Applicant
3400 Wagner Heights Road
Stockton, CA
SUBJECT: Soil Suitability Study Addendum (Project Number SSSA-05.03)
INTRODUCTION
Reference is made to my March 31, 2000 Soil Suitability Study/Nitrate Impact Investigation for
the above-referenced project. The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
(EHD) has requested additional information regarding the proposed new use of the subject
property with respect to the on-site septic system. This document provides the requested
information.
New leachlines have been installed for this project, as denoted on the attached permit. The septic
system contains a 1,200 gallon tank with two - 100 foot leachlines traversing in a north-south
direction on the east side of the property. The 100%replacement disposal field consists of the
area directly east of the existing leachlines. If replacement leachlines must a insta led due to
primary leachline failure, the new replacement leachlines may be installed five feet from the
property line. A 12-foot distance would remain between the failed leachline pipe and the
replacement leachline pipe, as depicted on the attached Site Plan produced by Wong Engineers.
In addition, two other areas have also been denoted on the Site Plan as replacement areas. These
are to the north and south of the existing leachlines. The area to the south contains 80 ft x 15 ft=
1,200 ft'. The area to the north contains 100 ft x 15 ft= 1,500 ft , for a total of 2,700 ft'. If
needed, these areas can be constructed as filter beds, with effluent pumped to these locations.
The following information was provided by the business owner, Mr. Sherman. The business is
to be a landscape and masonry supply company which will operate seven days per week, April
through October. November through March, the business will operate Monday through
Saturday. It is anticipated that most customer service will be call-ins for truck delivery of
landscape materials.
P. O.
